Berlusconi behind Cowen... and traffic wardens

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Burlusconi stood firmly behind his Irish counterpart at an EU summit yesterday in an act of solidarity with his under fire colleague. In a public display of support for the Taoiseach he stood behind him during the photo shoot and placed his hands firmly on the Offaly man's shoulders. Many will remember his similar display of support for Italy's female traffic wardens. Watch the mobile phone footage below of Berlusconi which captures the 72 year old demonstrating his affection for those who keep order on the busy streets of Rome.

I know Aido man. Could you imagine Cowen girating like that. I bet the dude with the phone couldn't believe his luck. Only Berlusconi could get away with this.

I reckon Willie "The Kid" O'Dea might give it a shot alright. Amazingly this footage did not ruin Berlusconi. Since it happend he has been voted out of office and back in again.
